Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search terms entered into a site search box may be processed by the service that operates that box. Do not treat a search box as an official court-record request.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends a message, the information in that message and the reply address may be used to respond and to operate the service.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most websites, this service and its vendors may receive device, browser, log, IP-address, referring-page, and basic usage information when a page loads.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies or similar tools may support site operation, measurement, security, preferences, and advertising. Browser controls may limit cookies, though some functions can change as a result.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information may be used to run, secure, evaluate, improve, and support the service; respond to messages; meet legal obligations; and prevent misuse. It is not used to alter, maintain, or decide any Harnett court case.
No Court-Record Data on File
Harnett County Court Docket does not host the official Register of Actions, docket sheets, case files, hearing calendars, or orders. The Harnett Clerk of Superior Court is the county custodian of court documents. North Carolina's G.S. 7A-109 governs public inspection of clerk records subject to legal limits.
Third-Party Search Partners
Third-party search providers can collect information under their own privacy terms when their tools are used. Review those terms before submitting information. Their results and handling of information are not controlled by this site.
Links to Other Websites
Official court, clerk, Portal, and statute links lead to external sites. Each external operator has its own privacy practices, and this policy does not govern them.
Who Might See Your Data
Information may be handled by service providers that host, secure, analyze, advertise, or support this service. It may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer as permitted by law.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information, but no online system can promise complete security. Avoid sending sensitive court, financial, or identifying information through ordinary web forms.
Users Under 18
This service is not directed to children under 18. Do not submit personal information for a child through the service. Juvenile court records have separate confidentiality protections under North Carolina G.S. 7B-3000.
Your Data Rights
Depending on applicable law, a visitor may ask about access, correction, deletion, or limits on certain processing of personal information. Court-record access is different: official Harnett case records must be requested from the clerk under the governing North Carolina court-record rules and public-record laws, including G.S. 7A-109 and G.S. 132-1 where applicable.
Updates to This Policy
This policy can change as the service or legal requirements change. The version posted here applies from its posting date.
